Adrian Tynrell Horne is wanted for murder after allegedly shooting two people and injuring two others on Tuesday afternoon in North Carolina. The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office is currently pursuing the 43-year-old suspect, who was last seen in a champagne Yukon with black rims, according to a press release.
The sheriff’s office is “actively searching” for Adrian Tynrell Horne, who has two active warrants for his arrest – both for first-degree murder. On Tuesday, Horne reportedly opened fire in the 3500 block of London Church Road. Authorities have not identified a motive in the shooting.
When authorities arrived on the scene, they found one victim dead and two other female victims injured with gunshot wounds. Both female victims – who were not named in the press release – were transported to a nearby hospital. As of Wednesday morning, it wasn’t clear what condition the victims were in following the shooting.
According to law enforcement officials, Adrian Tynrell Horne was seen fleeing the scene in a bullet-ridden black Buick. Reports claimed the vehicle had six bullet holes in the driver’s side window. Horne was accompanied by another female victim and an 8-month-old baby. It wasn’t immediately clear if it was a hostage situation or if he had a relationship with the woman and the child.
Seventeen miles away, police located Horne’s Buick inside Edgecombe County near Cedar Creek Lane and Otter Creek Road. The Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the unidentified female victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The 8-month-old baby was rushed to the hospital “for evaluation,” officials stated. The status of the infant was not available as of Wednesday morning.
According to the press release, “the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office and the NC State Highway Patrol is searching for Adrian Tynrell Horne.” It said that “anyone with information should contact the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office at 252-237-2118.”
Horne was last seen wearing a white hoodie. He reportedly entered a 2000s model Champagne GMC Yukon SUV with black rims. It wasn’t revealed if he was the one driving the vehicle or if someone else was driving. Timothy Robert Horne was listed in the arrest warrant for helping Adrian Horne evade justice. It was not clear how the two men were related. The direction the vehicle traveled “is unknown at this time,” the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office said.
Timothy Robert Horne was arrested, reports claimed Wednesday. One of Adrian Horne’s friends, Bianca Leal, asked him to turn himself in. “Come on, man,” she said Tuesday. “This is crazy. This is someone’s life. These are a lot of people’s lives that you have taken today and it’s not fair to them or their families.”
Leal claimed that Horne briefly hid out in a neighbor’s trailer before he fled in the GMC Yukon. She recalled that “he didn’t have no shoes on” and “he was sweating like crazy.”
Adrian Tynrell Horne was described as 5 foot 11 inches, weighing about 220 pounds. Police suspect that the shooting was a targeted attack and is not thought to be a random act. Authorities did not reveal what his relationship was with either of the deceased victims or the injured females. It is believed that the shooting was domestic in nature.
