Alexandria Taylor, a 26-year-old mother of two, was body shamed by her neighbor when they left a frustrated note on her car windshield, explaining that “it would be much appreciated if you could at least shut your blinds when walking naked!” Taylor, who claims she was wearing appropriate clothing, was appalled by the note and shared it on social media to get the “hot takes” from fellow moms.

The social media post presented a question ripe for debate. “This morning I went to my car to get something and saw a note wrapped in a plastic bag on my windscreen,” Alexandria Taylor explained. The note was a frustrated response to Taylor’s late-night rump, which she proudly displayed in the comfort of her own home in Chelmsford, Essex.

“It would be much appreciated if you could at least shut your blinds when walking naked!” the note pleaded. “Around your house… My kids do not and would not like to see you’re a—out on the show. Much appreciated, your neighbors.”

According to Alexandria Taylor, the mother of two was walking around her house at around 10:00 p.m. when she went into each room to turn off her lights. “I was wearing a top and underwear,” Taylor claimed. “My neighbor’s daughter was standing in front of my house looking through my living room window and obviously caught a glimpse of me.” It was three days after the incident when Taylor received the angered note.

“Am I wrong here?” Taylor asked her social media followers. She ended her post with a joke. “Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, just me arse apparently.”

The complaint did not sit well with the confident mama. She was “shocked” and “angry” about the note, especially since she claims she wasn’t even naked. Alexandria Taylor explained that she was wearing an oversized T-shirt and lingerie below, which amply covered her butt.

“I was so livid that someone had the audacity, who is supposed to be my neighbor, to go out of their way and leave a note on my windscreen rather than just knocking on the door and confronting me about it,” Taylor, who works as a car dealership manager, exclaimed. “Maybe they’re just not confrontational, but for me, if I’ve got a problem, I’ll quite happily say it to someone’s face.”

More than the note, Taylor is furious at her neighbor’s plea, which she claims violates the privacy provided by her home. “I was wearing a T-shirt and French knickers — they covered a lot of my bum,” she claimed. “To be honest, they’re lucky, because normally I walk around in a lot less than that.”

She concluded, saying that “I’m very comfortable in my own skin. I have no problem with the way I look.” The online debate has since sparked support from all over, with commenters who were quick to defend the mom’s fashion choice.

“I’m a naked neighbor and I couldn’t care less,” one commenter admitted. “People shouldn’t look into others’ houses if they don’t like what they see.”

Another person exclaimed that “it’s your house you wear what you like inside of it!”

Though most were in support of Taylor, one added a conspiratorial twist. “‘Must have a nice bum babe, someone’s Mr. was clearly caught having a look.”

After the outpour of social media comments, Alexandria Taylor feels “even more validated by the girls that have shown their support. Some of the comments have cracked me up.” Though she won’t launch a counterattack, Taylor plans to hold nothing back in her future late-night escapades. “It’s my house, it’s my rules,” she announced. “It absolutely will not stop me walking around in my own home in underwear and a T-shirt.”
