Ariana Grande has over 267 million followers on Instagram, and is the newest judge on The Voice. And now we hear that she’s also the highest paid coach on the show. So we know you’re wondering … how high is her net worth?
The singer was added for Season 21 and Rob Shuter from the Naughty But Nice podcast has all the details about the popstar’s new salary.
“Sources say Ariana is getting a whopping 20 to 25 million dollars for the show, putting her in the same category as Katy Perry on American Idol,” said Shuter. To put it in perspective, when singer Kelly Clarkson joined The Voice she was only earning $15 million on her first year of judging.
While Ariana is rolling in money with her new salary, she’d had a huge income long before her spot on The Voice. According to CelebrityNetWorth.com, the singer is worth a whopping $200 million. This is one singer who is definitely not strapped for cash.
Before she became a singer, Ariana Grande started as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon TV show Victorious. The show ran for nine seasons and according to her contract, which was acquired by TMZ, the popstar made $9K per episode during the first season. That’s a nice first paycheck!
During the series, she was practicing her song writing skills and even wrote and performed a couple of her own songs during the show. Ariana got paid $4K for a theme song, $3K for a song that was used during a couple of the episodes and $1,500 for a 20-second tune.
She would later star in the Nickelodeon show Sam and Cat and have a guest spot on the show Scream Queens, but those salaries are not available to the public.
Ariana Grande has released six albums, Yours Truly made her a No. 1 charted artist and Thank U Next, which was released in 2019, went double platinum.
In 2018, Ariana made over $29.5 million with downloads of her songs. And that was before the ever popular Thank U Next came out! When she released her song Problem, which featured fellow popstar Iggy Azalea, Ariana made $3.7 million.
A lot of her net worth comes from concert sales and endorsements. Her Dangerous Woman tour grossed her over $71 million (before taxes) and it became the highest grossing tour in 2017. The Dangerous Woman tour also saw a large amount of merchandise sold, $50 million a night apparently, which is a lot of T-shirts!
Ariana also earned $1 million for every stop on her Sweetener World Tour. There were 34 stops in total. That tour grossed over $234.5 million worldwide.
She has great endorsements, too! Ariana Grande created her own perfume line and she just released her own makeup line called R.E.M Beauty on Sept. 9. Ariana has seven different perfumes, all of them paying tribute to her famous songs. Her various perfumes made over $150 million back in 2017.
Joel B. Ronkin, CEO of LUXE Brands which owns Ariana’s fragrances, said that he doesn’t expect the sales of the perfume to stop anytime soon. “With Ariana’s undeniable status as an international superstar, the success of the Ariana Grande fragrance portfolio is certain to continue to reach new heights,” said Ronkin.
