Cassie Carli, a 37-year-old woman who went missing Sunday along with her 4-year-old daughter, Saylor, has still not been found, according to police. Family and loved ones are beginning to worry after she drove off to Navarre Beach in Florida and did not show up to a custody exchange with Saylor’s father.

In an odd but miraculous turn of events, her young daughter was found unharmed on Wednesday, though few details about her rescue have been released.

According to Cassie’s father, she said she was going to meet Saylor’s father at Navarre beach to pick up the young 4-year-old, which was a usual occurrence on the weekends. Falling asleep and losing track of the time, her father woke up to text messages that she had low phone battery but that she was experiencing some sort of car trouble.

Calling the cops and reporting her missing, her father and the local Santa Rosa sheriff have since launched an investigation.

“We are currently searching for Cassie Catherine Carli,” police updated friends and family on Facebook. “She is 37 years of age. She was last seen on Navarre Beach on Sunday evening. Her car has been recovered but she is still missing.”

Her daughter, Saylor, was accounted for and is safe, though authorities did not release information about how or where she was found.

“There are a lot of prayers going up for Cassie right now,” her friend Sam Porter told local reporters.

Though Saylor’s father has not been included on a list of potential suspects, Porter spoke with WEAR-TV reporters and claimed that the father gave the police with false information.

Sam Porter alleged that Saylor’s father told Cassie’s dad that he dropped the missing woman off at Porter’s home, but that certainly was not the case. Porter told the station that they are conducting their own search, outside of the sheriff’s office, and that they reported her missing on Monday.

A candlelight vigil was held Tuesday night for Cassie Carli in the location where her car was found near Navarre Beach in Florida.

“Cassie is so fun and outgoing and always laughing,” her sister Raeann told NBC News. “We just know how to have fun and let loose and if you’re around us, especially her, she’s always laughing, telling jokes… she had all the coolest, like, ‘90s trends and I always stole her makeup and was the annoying little sister, but we’ve grown so close now.”

Cassie recently started working at a paddle-board shop, according to her sister, and moved back home with her dad. She also had a new job as a lead server at Eglin Air Force base which reportedly “went well.”

Her daughter, Saylor, spent weekends with her father, who remained unnamed in police reports. The couple was having custody issues, according to NBC News.

“She went to go pick up Saylor because it was his weekend,” Raeann explained. “This is a normal – every other weekend drop-off exchange thing. And they were just meeting right down the road this time.”

“She knew to go to, you know, a public, well-lit place — all that,” she continued, but Sunday at Navarre Beach the plans mysteriously changed last minute.

Cassie is 5-foot-5 and weighs 150 pounds with blue eyes and blond hair. She has a mole on her right cheek and lizard tattoo on her feet. If anyone has any information on Cassie Carli’s whereabouts, authorities have asked people to please call the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office at 1-850-983-1190.
