Courtney Love slammed Pamela Anderson’s biopic, saying the Hulu series is “vile” and offensive. The singer/songwriter remarked on the show in a since-deleted Facebook post where she demeaned the show’s executives and the shamed actress playing Pamela, Lily James.

“I find this so f—ing outrageous,” Love started her post, referencing the limited series which depicts the fast-paced love affair of Baywatch’s Pamela Anderson and American musician, Tommy Lee. The biopic is supposedly covering the four days leading to their beach wedding, as well as their notorious sex tape.

Recalling the release of the scandalous sex tape, Love said that staff engineers, producers, and recording studio owners “were watching the sex tape with huge schadenfreude. Guffaws, It was disgusting. I banned anyone discussing it. It destroyed my friend Pamela’s life. Utterly.”

She explained that the upcoming Hulu series, Pam and Tommy, requested Love’s likeness for a shot, in which a Rolling Stones cover is briefly seen. “Last week I was asked to approve using a Rolling Stone cover of mine / shot by Mark Seliger in this piece of s—,” Love continued in the Facebook post. “That they had approved. I said ‘f— no.’ shocked. Gentleman don’t approve this sort of thing.”

Courtney Love is certainly not excited about Lily James’ portrayal of her lifelong friend, nor is she stoked to see Pamela and Tommy’s relationship brought back to the limelight. The couple in question, who got divorced in 1998, has not commented on the show.

Love finished her post by shaming Lily James for her role as Pamela Anderson. The world has been awestruck with Lily’s incredible transformation into the iconic celebrity. Pictures recently surfaced showing off Lily James in costume and character, but it’s very difficult to tell her apart from Pamela.

“My heart goes out to Pammy ♥️♥️ further causing her complex trauma,” Love concluded her post. “And shame on Lily James whoever the f— she is. #vile.” The Baby Driver star has not responded to Love’s hateful post.

The Hulu original began filming recently and Sebastian Stan is acting alongside Lily James as they play out the dramatic four days. Pam and Tommy is bringing audiences back to the week in 1995 before the iconic couple shared vows and unleashed a sex tape to the world.

Courtney Love was a friend of Pamela’s throughout those four days, and her heart goes out to the Baywatch star for everything she went through. Love is extremely vocal about her dismay at Pam and Tommy, and likely hates the fact that the series is covering the traumatic time when Pamela’s sex tape was revealed to the world.

In a 2015 interview, Pamela Anderson spoke out about that experience. “I made not one dollar. It was stolen property. We made a deal to stop all the shenanigans.” She explained that she “was seven months pregnant with Dylan and thinking it was affecting the pregnancy with the stress and I said, ‘I’m not going to court anymore. I’m not being deposed anymore by these horny, weird lawyer men. I don’t want to talk about my vagina anymore or my public sex — anything.’”

Anderson added that “the damage was done. So we just said, ‘No way, we’re not getting involved in that.’”

The mini-series is supposedly releasing in 2021 on Hulu. Since filming began in April 2021, fans will likely have to wait to see the jaw-dropping actor transformations until later this year.
