Cuffe Owens, President Biden’s nephew, and Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King are married! The couple celebrated their love with family at a small wedding at Owens’ parents’ house in Pennsylvania.
The couple first announced the relationship on Sept. 25 when Meghan posted a sweet photo of them on her Instagram. She captioned the photo, “Trying my best to avoid any cheesy introductions like “my main squeeze”… so just meet my man. ❤️.”
Many fans were surprised at this post, because Meghan hadn’t given any hint that she was dating someone new. Back in January she told fans that she was seeing former friend turned lover, Will Roos, and we are unsure when she moved on from Roos to Owens.
They were even more surprised when the wedding happened just two weeks later.
“We connected on a dating app, texted for a day or two, then spent five straight hours on the phone the first time we spoke,” Meghan told Brides. “By the time that call ended, Cuffe was booked and packed for a flight to St. Louis that took off in about eight hours. Within a week, we were back on the East Coast, meeting his family, and starting to plan our future together.”
President Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden were both in attendance at the wedding and went there after being in Delaware for the weekend. According to White House officials the wedding was at the home of Biden’s sister, Valerie Biden Owens and her husband, Jack Owens, in Kennett Square, Pa.
Valerie is not just a sister to President Biden, but also his longtime campaign advisor. She has been helping on her brother’s campaigns since 1970 when he ran for city council in New Castle, Delaware.
She also helped her brother on his presidential campaigns in 1988 and 2008, and she was his senior advisor for his successful 2020 campaign.
Meghan’s children — daughter Aspen, and twin sons Hart and Hayes — were all in the wedding party.
“Our wedding was about two things for us,” Meghan explained to Brides. “Our love for and commitment to each other, and our family—each of our families, and the new very large and very tight family that we were bonding together by getting married. That’s it.”
“We toyed around with an L.A. wedding—at an estate or venue or something—but the truth is it never felt right to either one of us,” Meghan told Brides. “When we realized that Cuffe’s parents’ wedding anniversary—Oct. 11—was a holiday Monday, we both knew exactly what we were going to do, where we were going to do it, and how we were going to do it. It’s a beautiful thing to see eye-to-eye with each other as we do.”

Owens’ new wife is no stranger to the spotlight. The former star of The Real Housewives of Orange County has quite a following on Instagram. She has almost 1 million followers and became famous for her previous marriage to baseball player Jim Edmonds.
The couple married in October 2014 and only a couple months later, Meghan joined the cast of RHOC. The couple share three kids together, Aspen and then twins Hayes and Hart. During their marriage, Meghan opened up about her struggles with infertility and her journey with IVF.
“I have a lot of friends who have had fertility issues. Some talk about it and some don’t talk about it, but one thing is consistent: It’s hard on every single one of them,” she told fans in 2016. “I’m an open person, so I wanted to show my process and the heartaches and the ups and the downs that go with IVF so people can say, ‘It’s OK to feel this way.’”
After having twin boys in 2018, the former couple shared that they were having marital problems. Specifically, Meghan accused Jim of cheating on her with their 22-year-old nanny and of sending nudes to other women. He denied the cheating, but apologized for the nudes.
The couple filed for divorce in October 2019 and it was officially settled earlier this year. Jim Edmonds is engaged to his new love Kortnie O’Connor.
Meghan told Us Weekly that she wishes Jim and Kortnie the best and thinks that Kortnie will be a great addition to their blended family. “I was a stepmom and I’ve always been the school of thought that the more people to love children the better. And I don’t think that there’s a limited capacity for children to be able to be loved,” she added. “It’s not like they could only be loved by mommy and daddy. I don’t think that takes away my love for them if they’re going to love somebody else. So I think it’s great,” she said.
This is Meghan King’s third marriage. She was married to high school sweetheart, Brad McDill, from 2007 to 2011, and then Jim Edmonds from 2014 to 2021.
