Moments after an emotional win at Super Bowl 2022, Los Angeles Rams safety Taylor Rapp proposed to his longtime girlfriend Dani Johnson on the field. There was rapturous applause by over 70,000 attendees.

After gaining a Super Bowl ring of his own, he shared the sweet victory with Dani Johnson, getting on one knee and gifting her a ring of her own.

“Will you marry me?” Taylor Rapp asked, already wearing the Super Bowl LVI Championship t-shirt, and reveling in the glory of his win. Seen shaking her head in video taken by the NFL broadcast, the two embraced and kissed to the roar of his teammates.

“MORE THAT ONE RING TONIGHT!!” the Los Angeles Rams wrote on Twitter, “Congrats!!”

According to USA Today, Dani Johnson and Rams safety Taylor Rapp have been together long before he played college football for Washington from 2016 to 2018. They were high school sweethearts at Sehome High School in Bellingham, Wa. Dani Johnson was also an athlete in college, playing volleyball for Southern Oregon University.

She wore bright blue pants as an ode to Los Angeles Rams’ colors, as many family members and significant others came down to the field to support their loved ones following the victory.

“Living for moments like this,” she wrote on Instagram, sharing photos of Taylor Rapp blowing her kisses from the end zone.

In a highly defensive game, the Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 on Super Bowl Sunday, thanks to amazing work from their defensive and offensive lineman. After missing the first three playoff games this season due to a concussion, Taylor Rapp was able to play in the Super Bowl, recording four solo tackles and seven total tackles.

In a rare coincidence, the Rams were able to play the Super Bowl on their home turf in Los Angeles, giving them the edge of the crowd.

Calling her “the love of my life” back in March, Rapp, 24, celebrated Dani’s 24th birthday on Instagram by writing that she “holds me accountable and makes me stay true to myself no matter what.”

“If everyone had just a fraction of your kind, compassionate, and loving heart, this world would be a much better place,” The LA Rams safety continued. “You make me a better person every single day. Thank you for being my best friend and such a great partner to do life with.”

Other celebrity couples, such as Beyonce and Jay-Z and Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, were also in attendance at the big game on Sunday.

“I’m so proud of this team,” Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford told NBC Sports reporters after the win. “There’s so many guys on our team that deserve this, so many great players guys who have just given their heart and soul of this team, guys that are either playing this game or not because injury or whatever it is. I’m so proud of this group.”

The Rams were last in the Super Bowl in 2019 when they lost to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Gaining Matthew Stafford from the Detroit Lions and Odell Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants, the Rams were able to turn it around for a championship team in the 2021-2022 season.

Los Angeles also drafted new talent in 2019 such as Taylor Rapp, who was the No. 61 pick in the second round of the NFL draft that year. According to Spotrac, he signed a four-year, $4.67 million contract that includes $2.12 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $1.41 million.

Earning NFC Defensive Player of the Week multiple times throughout his career, the Rams safety helped lead his team to Super Bowl victory and wedding bells in the future.
