Erika Jayne’s money problems have not let up. The Real Housewives star has recently dropped the asking price for her last home by $3 million.

The home, which is located in Pasadena, Calif., boasts a lavish garden, an elaborate pool that welcomes guests onto the property, and even a personal chapel for the family. It is a 10,277-square-foot property with four bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Erika Jayne originally listed the home at $13 million after her filing for divorce from her husband, Tom Girardi, in November 2020. The house has sat on the market since then, and it is now listed at $9.98 million.

When the divorce was filed, many people alleged that the couple was breaking up so they could save themselves from further legal trouble. At the time, Tom Girardi was being investigated for embezzlement charges.

Tom has been accused of embezzling millions from his clients, which are mostly victims of accidents and natural disasters. His right to practice law has been taken away and more recently he was placed under conservatorship because of his recent diagnosis of early-stage dementia and Alzheimer’s. This diagnosis could affect his charges if they make it to court.

Edelson PC, a law firm, filed a lawsuit saying that Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi’s divorce was a “sham.” They claimed that the pair were using the divorce to hide that money that was intended for the victims of the 2018 Boeing 737 MAX plane crash.

According to a trustee’s investigation into Tom Girardi’s law firm, the company is said to owe at least $26 million to their clients. The trials that Tom was a lawyer on were always settled, but most of the time the money never made it to his clients. A minimum of $2 million is owed to the victims and families of the plane crash.

“At the heart of this deception is Defendant Girardi and his need to fund outrageous lifestyles for himself and his soon-to-be ex-wife Erika Jayne. To keep up their celebrity status, Tom and Erika must project a public image of obscene wealth at all times, and at whatever the cost.”

Erika Jayne is very familiar with a lavish lifestyle. On a 2018 taping of The Wendy Williams Show, Erika bragged that she spent $40K a month on clothes, hair, and makeup to keep up with her detailed beauty routine.

During her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she was known for showing off all her possessions, specifically her house. The 1920s style mansion is crafted to make people stare. The property is covered with water features that guests walk by before entering the house with high vaulted ceilings, cozy offices, and a beautiful full kitchen with French appliances, and a blue tile backsplash.

Since her ex-husband’s embezzlement charges, the RHOBH star has had to downsize and move into a $1.5 million dollar home in West Hollywood. She has stayed tight-lipped about her alleged involvement in her former husband’s money dealings. When asked about the money meant for the victims of the plane crash she said that only Tom knows what happened to it.
