It was also said that he is balding and has a large neck tattoo. Pictures of Powell are blurry, however, part of his tattoo is a large five-tipped star that rests under his chin.
According to WYFF4, deputies arrived at the shooting just after 3:00 p.m. Sgt. Jeff Graham said representatives from the coroner’s office were also at the scene. Three of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene the report said. A fourth victim was rushed to the hospital but their condition is unknown. As of Monday night, none of the victims were identified to the public.
Authorities are searching for a motive in the shooting. It wasn’t immediately clear what Jeffrey David Powell’s relation to the victims is. A K-9 unit was dispatched in the area of Greenwood County near Heddy Road, according to reports.
Cody Alcorn, a journalist at Fox Carolina, recorded the crime scene from Highway 25. He tweeted, saying that “I’m told [a] manhunt [is] underway after multiple people [were] shot in Greenwood County. I’m told a child is among the victims. Sources tell me there are fatalities. This is off Hwy 25 on Heddy Road.”
Fox Carolina News posted a live video on Facebook that shows the current investigation at a house on Heddy Road in Greenwood County. The outlet reported that “deputies with the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office say that multiple people are dead after a shooting near Heddy Rd.” In the video, the area outside the house is cordoned off. Several emergency response vehicles surround the home.
