Jennifer Aniston was momentarily shocked in an interview on Monday, when she thought This Morning interviewer Josie Gibson asked if she was “a hooker.”

Appearing on the popular U.K. television show alongside her Morning Show co-star Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer was initially taken aback by the question, but quickly laughed it off after realizing that she had just misheard Josie Gibson’s thick English accent.

Speaking about how close the two stars were on the show, Josie asked Jennifer if she was a “hugger,” which Jennifer misunderstood, confusingly replying “A hooker?”

“No, no, no I did not say that, I meant a hugger!” Josie said jumping back, appearing mortified that she might have offended the Friends actress. She even gestured a hugging motion to help Jennifer understand what she had meant to ask. Josie wanted to know if, because of the pandemic, if she missed being able to hug her co-star, Reese Witherspoon.

Beside her on the Zoom call, Reese Witherspoon was keeling over in laughter, and the two later found the interview absolutely hilarious.

“Well yes I am a hugger,” Jennifer responded, with Reese chiming in saying, “not a hooker.”

According to Express UK, the two Morning Show stars later praised Josie Gibson for her enthusiasm during the call, and reiterated how hilariously absurd they found her Bristol accent all throughout the interview.

The former Big Brother winner went on to teach Jennifer and Reese how to say typical Bristol phrases, such as “alright, my lover.”

This Morning host Holly Willoughby later said that the interview was her “favourite bit of TV ever.”

“That’s the best thing I have ever seen on telly,” Holly said, with her co-host Phillip Schofield remarking that, “she took being asked if she was a hooker very well.”

Jennifer Aniston said after the quick incident that she has so much fun working with Reese on The Morning Show. “We go to work, we’re goofballs, we love what we do,” she said. “They say, Action, we do our job, we love it, we laugh and cry.”

As far as what audiences can expect to see in season 2 of The Morning Show, Jennifer said that the show will incorporate elements of Covid-19 coverage, as well as “a lot of grey areas” that sent the writers “back to the drawing board” after mapping out the first two episodes.

Though the two stars thought the interview was quite humorous, fans commenting online were absolutely shocked by Jennifer Aniston’s facial expressions after she thought he was called “a hooker” on television.

“Oh dear, what a cringe worthy interview I’ve just watched,” one commenter wrote. “The actors hadn’t a clue what was going on.”

“They couldn’t understand a word Josie said,” another fan remarked. “The most uncomfortable viewing ever watching Josie interview Reese Witherspoon & Jennifer Aniston over video call… literally baffled by what Josie was saying.”

The This Morning interview snafu came just one week after her appearance on BBC One’s The One Show, where viewers thought the star had a bit of “an attitude” when answering questions.

Calling actual morning show life vampiric, she said that her experience watching a taping of Good Morning America was “utter chaos.”

When host Jermaine Jenas jokingly asked Reese Witherspoon if it seemed like Jennifer Anniston wasn’t a morning person, Jennifer seemed offended, asking, “did I sell that to you?”

Jennifer Aniston certainly has to wake up at the crack of dawn to appear on these UK shows due to the time difference, so it’s very possible that Jennifer is not a morning person at all.

“I’m the morning person and she’s more of a night person,” Reese responded, saying that they actually laugh about it behind the scenes all the time.
