Are J.Lo and Ben Affleck getting back together? After Bennifer spent a week on a romantic getaway in Montana, Jennifer Lopez’s fans are wondering if this means the exes have reunited.
Since J.Lo’s split with A-Rod, many have wondered what she would do with her newfound freedom. Though the single life would hardly be a challenge for someone as stunning as Jennifer Lopez, it seems the brunette beauty may be falling right back into a relationship. Can you say rebound?
According to E! Online, J.Lo and Ben spent a week cozying up at a resort near Yellowstone National Park. They were seen together at the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana. Sources were quoted saying that the two “were alone” and that they did stuff “just the two of them.”
The pair, who were engaged 17 years ago, may be trying again. They were spotted driving together and flew back to Los Angeles together. The celebrity duo arrived at the Signature Terminal at LAX before taking an SUV together to J.Lo’s home in Bel-Air.
Though both J.Lo and Ben Affleck appeared separately at the VAX LIVE concert in L.A. last week, they have been spotted together a couple of times since J.Lo’s split with A-Rod. Reports placed the Gone Girl star at Jennifer’s L.A. mansion only days after the reported breakup. Sources have expressed that the two are just friends, but many fans can’t believe it.
“They have been in touch here and there throughout the years,” a source told E! News. “Ben reached out to her to see how she was doing and they had dinner together a few times within this last month. It’s natural between them and the chemistry is unreal. They picked up where they last left off and are enjoying each other’s company right now.”
The two began their love affair nearly 20 years ago, after starring in Gigli together. Months later, Ben Affleck sealed the deal with the Hustlers star, pulling out a 6.1-carat pink solitaire diamond ring. No amount of bling could keep them together, though, because they broke off their engagement days before they were set to go to the altar. It wasn’t until January 2004 that they officially confirmed their split.
Ben also just went through a breakup with Ana de Armas after a year-long fling. The performers got together while filming Deep Water, a thriller that was filmed in New Orleans at the beginning of last year. They are “no longer dating” a source confirmed to People recently. “She broke it off.”
Another source explained that “this is something that was mutual and something that is completely amicable,” but “they are in different points in their lives.” Some sources say de Armas wanted children and that Ben wouldn’t consider going down that path again. Ben previously had three children – two girls and a boy – with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Now that Jennifer Garner is getting serious with John Miller, the Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice star may want something serious, too. But skeptics say J.Lo and Ben are just having fun, and there’s no way this will turn into a long-term relationship.
Ben told The Hollywood Reporter in 2012 that he and J.Lo remained friends after their split. “We don’t have the kind of relationship where she relies on me for advice,” he said. “But we do have the kind of relationship where there’ll be an e-mail saying, ‘Oh, your movie looks great.’ I remember when she got American Idol. I said: ‘This was really smart. Good luck.'”
