Kailyn Lowry is facing backlash after leaving her house despite contracting Covid-19 on her recent family vacation. A report claims the Teen Mom 2 star left quarantine to pick out designs for her dream Delaware mansion that is currently under construction. Now the 29-year-old reality star is branded “disgusting” and “selfish” for putting others at risk.
According to a text conversation with her interior designer, Kailyn Lowry said she would be happy to pick out sliding door designs. “Like wait in the car? Cause Covid?” she asked her designer before agreeing. “But yes I do… just send me addresses.”
Her designer explained that “I figured you may need to get out for some fun.” The reality star shared the text conversation on her social media, but backlash ensued. Kailyn’s fans were not happy to hear the mother of four was putting more people in danger by leaving the house.
“This is so disgusting and proves she has no regard for anyone else,” one person said on Reddit. “She is toxic and selfish.”
“Irresponsible idiot,” another commented. Someone else added that “I thought she was posting all over her [Instagram] how sick and miserable she was feeling? Now all of a sudden she has the strength to get out of bed and bop all over town well before the 14 days? I can’t with her.”
According to her social media profiles, Kailyn Lowry is building a massive mansion in Delaware complete with a dog run and a football field. She has been updating her followers throughout the process, including a recent post of her kids writing on the walls of the newly constructed house.
No matter the reason for her quarantine departure, fans are not happy about it. Even though Kailyn explained she would “sanitize [her] truck after,” her followers think it is utterly “irresponsible” to put others at risk of contracting the virus.
The Teen Mom 2 star likely contracted Covid-19 during her vacation to Punta Cana. Kailyn explained in the latest episode of her Baby Mamas No Drama podcast that though she tested negative twice while in the Dominican Republic, she believes she contracted it while overseas. “For those of you guys listening who don’t know, Vee and I have Covid.”
Along with her co-host, Vee Rivera, Kailyn confirmed that her four children also contracted the virus. “I knew because I felt like s— all week,” Kailyn admitted. “Once I lost my taste and my smell, I knew what it was. I knew.”
Vee Rivera said that she likely contracted Covid-19 from Kailyn during a podcast recording session last week. Kailyn apologized for putting her friend in contact with the virus, saying “I would not have been around people if I knew I had Covid, but I tested negative twice.” Kailyn and her four sons – Isaac, 10, Lincoln, 7, Lux Russell, 3, and Creed, 1 – are supposed to be in quarantine as they ride out the virus.
Vee said that her symptoms have been fairly mild, which she attributes to getting the vaccine. While she is “miserable” at home without the rest of her family, she said she is “grateful that I don’t have these crazy symptoms and didn’t end up in the hospital.”
According to Kailyn, her children lucked out, too. All four of her sons have mild infections and are asymptomatic. There is no confirmation, however, that Kailyn or her children are vaccinated. Vee Rivera said that she was “100% vaccinated” but Kailyn Lowry has been vocal about her skepticism about the vaccine.
In a Twitter thread last year, one fan asked Kailyn if she or her children would be getting vaccinated. “Absolutely not,” Kailyn tweeted.
Another fan wrote to Kailyn in April 2020 that “you believe vaccines cause cancer & autism – another thing that is absolutely impossible.” The reality star replied, saying “And you believe you have any type of credibility here but to each their own, right?”
Fans are not happy with Kailyn Lowry or her parenting style. While it’s her choice whether or not to get her kids vaccinated, some fans think it is unacceptable for her to be putting herself, her family, and others at risk. Thankfully the reality star is “feeling better,” according to an interview she had with Hollywood Life.
“I’m coming through the other side of it,” Kailyn explained. “And I’m hoping to be cleared later this week, and you know, get back to work and do all the things, but I feel better now. So I’m feeling better.”
