A brawl at Kalahari Water Park in Sandusky, Ohio left one woman unconscious and several others bruised. Two people have been arrested for the drunken fight and one was charged with multiple felonies following the May 17 brawl.

A video shared on YouTube documents the aggravated fight, as lifeguards attempt to separate several park-goers who are physically entangled. 23-year-old Brittany Cabay, who was later knocked unconscious during the brawl, can be seen with blood dripping down her face as her friends push others away.

Witnesses claim the incident at Kalahari Water Park started after someone cut in line for the FlowRider surf attraction. In the video, one boy can be seen defending Cabay as she wipes blood from her nose and head. It’s then that another individual, identified as 24-year-old Zackary Colzin, lunges off-screen after readying a punch.

The fight then continues between Colzin and multiple unidentified park-goers. Colzin curses and shouts racial slurs as he throws several punches at deputies and fellow park-goers. During a one-on-one brawl between Colzin and a third individual, Brittany Cabay launches an attack on the man. Cabay is quickly thrown upside down before she lands head-first into the water park ground, knocked unconscious.

Several lifeguards attempted to end the brawl, but the fighting continued for several more seconds. Colzin can be seen aggressively attacking a lifeguard and a paramedic before attempting to throw a chair at a woman. Before the chair can be thrown, Zackary Colzin slips and falls, appearing to have knocked himself unconscious.

Colzin then attacks a paramedic before he is taken down in what seems to be a choke-hold. Both Brittany Cabay and Zackary Colzin were arrested after being taken to the hospital for their injuries. They were charged with persistent disorderly conduct while intoxicated. Cabay told law enforcement that she was in training “to be a police officer.”

Brittany Cabay and Zackary Colzin were arrested following the brawl at Kalahari Water Park in Ohio.

According to Erie County Sheriff Paul Sigsworth, Colzin and Cabay “were both very intoxicated, and they were also combative.” Colzin was reportedly very “combative with our deputies” and “was charged accordingly.”

Colzin was also charged with assault on a peace officer, assault on an EMT, and resisting arrest. A warrant had already been issued for his arrest in Michigan for the theft of a motor vehicle.

Brittany Cabay was released on a $14,000 bond but Colzin was held without bail. According to Cabay’s Facebook, she and Colzin are in a relationship.

A third person was charged for the Kalahari Water Park brawl. The man who can be seen in the video throwing Cabay to the ground was arrested.

Sigsworth explained that “we want everybody to come and have a good time, but we want them to be responsible with their consumption of alcohol.” He claimed that “we’ll continue to respond to 911 calls out there, whatever they may be, and if people are intoxicated to the point where they’re causing a disturbance, they’re gonna be arrested.”
