Kiara Kilgo-Washington, the girlfriend of disgraced NFL wide receiver Henry Ruggs III, live streamed a video to Facebook that appears to show the couple partying just hours before the pair were involved in a deadly accident that killed Tina Tintor and her dog.
The nearly three-minute video, posted late Monday night, appears to show Kilgo-Washington, 22, with Ruggs partying at the Top Golf resort in Las Vegas.
Ruggs is seen trying to tee up, while Kilgo-Washington and a friend laugh from a nearby table. The table is briefly seen as the camera pans from Ruggs to the friend, and there appear to be several empty cocktail glasses.
How Much Did Henry Ruggs III Drink?
The accident killed 23-year-old Tina Tintor and her dog, who were trapped in their vehicle while it burned, police have said.
Since then, the Clark County District Attorney’s Office has alleged that Ruggs was traveling at 156 miles-per-hour when he slammed his Chevrolet Corvette into the rear of Tintor’s Toyota Rav-4.
Prosecutors said Ruggs’ blood alcohol content was 0.161 percent — twice the legal limit to drive in Nevada — when measured within two hours of the crash.
According to a police report obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, investigators believe that Kilgo-Washington and Ruggs were drinking mai tais in the hours before the fatal accident.
Does the Facebook footage by Kilgo-Washington show her and Ruggs drinking the same mai tais that police believe caused the crash?
Possibly, though she has not removed the video from her public feed. The stream has been viewed thousands of times since it was uploaded Monday night, and has received dozens of comments alleging that Ruggs is visibly drunk in the footage.
The Video Was Shared With Teammates
Derek Carr, Raiders quarterback and now ex-teammate of Ruggs’, told reporters Wednesday that the wide receiver sent him the video that Kilgo-Washington took — or a similar one — at around midnight the night of the accident.
“He literally texted me at midnight, [inaudible] golf swing, you know, at me and [Raiders wide receiver] Hunter [Renfrow],” Carr said.
“You know, ‘how’s my swing look, you’ve got to help me,” said the quarterback, adding that the woke up to news of the crash the next morning.
Kilgo-Washington and Ruggs Injured
Authorities told the Associated Press that Kiara Kilgo-Washington was badly hurt in the Tuesday morning accident. The 22-year-old was reportedly rushed from the scene to a nearby hospital for an emergency surgery on her arm.
The lasting extent of her injuries and her condition after the surgery have not been reported. She shared a Facebook post just 10 minutes before the crash, but does not appear to have posted since, or to have publicly acknowledged the accident.
Ruggs also seems to have sustained injuries from the alleged drunk-driving incident. He appeared in a wheelchair and wearing a neckbrace at his arraignment on Wednesday.
He spent Tuesday in a Clark County jail, but was released on $150,000 bond following his Wednesday court appearance, reports indicate. According to the Review-Journal, Ruggs was required to surrender his passport, abstain from drinking, and submit to electronic monitoring.
