Marvel fans were angry after Kim Kardashian accidentally posted Spider-Man spoilers to her 273 million Instagram followers, since-deleting the social media story.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, 41, watched the new billion-dollar blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home in what appeared to be her home theater Monday night, later posting pictures of her screen and sharing it with her followers. The fashion mogul and reality star realized her mistake and deleted the Instagram story, but not before it was presumably seen by over 200 million followers.

“If you haven’t watched the new Spider-Man movie do not watch Kim Kardashian’s IG story,” one helpful fan quickly tweeted, trying to warn people online.

Getting to the end of the film, Kim Kardashian posted screenshots of the credits, revealing that past Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield both made appearances in the movie. Fans believed the two actors would appear in the film after it was revealed that past villains such as Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin would be returning. But the two former Spider-Man stars had yet to be official announced in promotional material from either Marvel or Disney.

Spider-Man: No Way Home premiered in theaters on Dec. 17, right before the holiday. Typically, spoilers 10 days after a premiere might not be terrible. But many fans haven’t been able to go yet due to fears of Omicron spreading.

Currently, there is no way to watch the film at home for fans, but excitement for the blockbuster MCU outing hasn’t stopped people from flocking to sold-out theaters. Many fans are choosing to wait for Disney+ to stream the film for viewers at home, which will presumably happen sometime in 2022 after the film’s limited release.

In the meantime, they were avoiding sites like Twitter to stay away from spoilers. Kim Kardashian has her own private theater and was able to acquire the film.

“I don’t even f**king follow Kim Kardashian and the one moment I decide to watch her stories on instagram she post literally THEE whole spoiler of spider man,” one Twitter user wrote, furious at the reality star for posting Spider-Man spoilers. “I’ve never hated someone so much.”

“I’ve muted everything Spider-Man related on all my socials to avoid spoilers since I’m watching it tomorrow …. Just for Kim Kardashian to post a whole f–king spoiler on her IG,” another fan wrote on Twitter. “I’m so livid right now!! Absolutely enraged!”

“I thought the SpiderMan ending would get ruined from A LOT of places on social media for me, but never in @KimKardashian’s insta stories,” one fan waiting for a streaming release wrote. “Nothing says privilege like getting a movie in your own private theatre and spoiling it for those of us who are trying to stay home and safe!”

This was also Kim Kardashian’s second time viewing the film, as she saw it opening weekend with her new flame, Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson. The comedian, 28, took Kim to a theater in Staten Island after the NBC variety-sketch series canceled most of the night’s season finale due to members on set testing positive for Covid-19.

A live action Spider-verse film, Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s trio of Spider-Man actors made the film an estimated $81 million at the box office over Christmas weekend, securing the Marvel movie as the first billion-dollar film of the pandemic.
