Lucian Piane, former producer for RuPaul’s Drag Race, was arrested this week for public intoxication and making unnecessary 911 phone calls.
He was arrested on Monday by the Oceanside Police Department after officers were alerted about Lucian making prank phone calls to the local 911 dispatchers. He made seven drunken calls in a span of three minutes and was verbally abusive toward the dispatcher. At one point, the former star allegedly called them “c***s.”
Police were called to a motel where Lucian had made the calls and found him wandering the street. When they confronted him, officers suspected that he was under the influence and brought him in for public intoxication while also writing him a citation for the 911 calls.
Lucian was released from jail after his arrest and will have to pay the tickets for the unnecessary 911 calls.
Fans of Lucian Piane will remember him from his time on RuPaul’s Drag Race. He helped put the show’s music together and was a guest panelist from 2012 to 2016. He moved on from the show, and in 2017 he went on a social media rampage bashing the show and the drag queens for destroying drag.
“RuPaul’s Drag Race has bastardized drag. I’d like to think it started with the best intentions but RuPaul and World of Wonder have ruined a sacred art form. … They caved, they compromised,” said Lucian.
Despite this rampage, fans still support Lucian and many of them follow him on Instagram where they are concerned with the recent videos that he has been posting. In one video, Lucian is seen confronting police officers after he is removed from a 7/11 for stealing. In another video where he told followers that he just stole from the Dollar Store, one user commented “Lucian you need rehab bro. I loved u so much.”
This is not the first time that Lucian Piane has been arrested. The former Drag Show star was arrested back in 2019 for trespassing. He was arrested at gunpoint in Los Angeles after refusing to leave a Chase Bank.
Witnesses of the event said that they saw police arrive at the Chase Bank and draw their weapons. Lucian then came out of the bank with his hands above his head and allowed police to handcuff him and put him into the vehicle.
Apparently, Lucian was bragging to police that he had just been a guest judge on a very famous reality TV show.
Family of Lucian Piane said that at the time of his arrest he was struggling with mental health issues.
His mental health also influenced a similar social media rampage back in 2016 when his Twitter and Instagram were deactivated after he made racist and anti-Semitic comments. The strange outburst included him talking about The Ellen Show and asked if “Is it okay to call @Beyonce the N WORD for being a HORRIBLE BLACK PERSON? RICH AS F**K AND DONE NOTHING FOR HER PEOPLE EXCEPT STEAL.”
After his rant, Lucian apologized and blamed the event on a marijuana-induced psychosis that happened because he was using the drug to treat a mental condition.
