Billionaire Bill Hutchinson was arrested Tuesday after a teenage girl accused him of sexual assault. The real estate tycoon and reality star, known for his appearances on both Seasons of Marrying Millions, was released on a $30,000 bond, according to The Dallas Morning News.
The 63-year-old billionaire allegedly assaulted the unidentified 17-year-old girl while she was staying at his Texas home on May 7. The girl had moved into Hutchinson’s home in March 2021 so she could finish her Junior year of High School since her family had moved out of state.
An affidavit, filed on June 29, revealed that the alleged victim reported the incident in June and that the girl accused Bill Hutchinson of touching her without her consent several times, including inappropriate massages and groping. The probable cause affidavit also indicates a specific incident, in which the alleged victim claims she woke up to Hutchinson’s fingers inside of her without her consent.
Listed in the filing is a claim that “on multiple occasions, Hutchinson would provide alcohol and allow the children to smoke marijuana.” It was one of those times, after the 17-year-old girl had passed out drunk on the couch, that Bill Hutchinson reportedly assaulted her.
The victim claims the billionaire “inappropriately” touched on multiple occasions throughout her stay with the family, including “massages, touching of her breast and nipples.” She described Hutchinson’s digital penetration as nonconsensual, but explained she was “frozen with fear and [Hutchinson] only stopped when he noticed blood on his finger.”
Bill Hutchinson is facing one count of sexual assault, a second-degree felony in Texas. The billionaire is not facing charges of assaulting a minor, because the age of consent in the state is 17.
The 63-year-old reality star, best known for his relationship with a much younger woman, made a statement Thursday, claiming that “’I’m innocent of this charge and accusation. Anyone who knows me in this city knows that I am not capable of assault, sexual or otherwise. Hopefully, all of my colleagues and friends will give me the benefit of the doubt until I prove my innocence in court.”
Though his time on A+E’s hit show, Marrying Millions, only focuses on his relationship with his 23-year-old fiancée, Brianna Ramirez, Hutchinson has others living under his massive roof. His 13-year-old biological son lives with him in his Texas mansion, as well as his 16-year-old daughter, and another 17-year-old female who Hutchinson reportedly has legal guardianship of.
A police investigation has led to a second minor corroborating the accuser’s story. In a video obtained by police, the second minor alleged that the real estate tycoon is known for similar behavior, which the individual witnessed at Hutchinson’s other residence in Laguna Beach, Calif.
Bill Hutchinson is a real estate mogul and his company, Dunhill Partners, is a multi-billion-dollar venture. Currently, the company is developing Virgin Hotels Dallas, which is tied to English businessman, Richard Branson. Aside from his billion-dollar net worth, Hutchinson is known for his appearances on Marrying Millions, as he and his 23-year-old fiancée navigate their 40-year age gap.
Hutchinson has been married twice before and has six children from both marriages. His wealthy lifestyle compared to Brianna Ramirez’s more modest net worth is a big point of contention on the show, with Hutchinson’s ex-wives pointing out potential cracks in the relationship. Beyond their income gap, Hutchinson’s friends have also commented on the strangeness of the couple’s massive age gap.
In a Fox News appearance, Hutchinson explained the gap, saying that “I think women are more mature than men, and I think I’m probably very immature for my age,” Hutchinson shared, adding, “I always tell my 16-year-old daughter boys are idiots. Boys are dumb. Don’t fall in love. Don’t get hurt. Don’t cry. They’re not worth it. Wait till you’re older.”
