Selling Sunset star Maya Vander opened up about her pregnancy loss in a heartbreaking Instagram post. The celebrity real estate agent explained how she delivered a stillborn baby at 38 weeks on Dec. 10, calling it the “hardest day of my life.”

The reality TV star shared the news with her Instagram fans alongside a photo of her baby boy’s memory box. She said, “Yesterday was the hardest day of my life. I had a [stillbirth] at 38 weeks. I always heard of it but never imagined I’ll be part of the statistics.”

She continued, adding that “instead of delivering a baby, I get to go home with a memory box… I do not wish this on anyone. What was a regular weekly checkup turned into a nightmare that I never imagine will happen to me. Given I share my pregnancies in the show I knew I’ll have to post about this and avoid the “when is your due date “question. You will always be in our heart baby Mason.”

Maya Vander shares two children with her husband, a 2-year-old son, Aiden, and a 1-year-old daughter Elle. She first announced her third pregnancy on Instagram back in July, and she also shared the news on Season 4 of Selling Sunset. The star documented her pregnancy through heartfelt Instagram posts until her tragic loss this week.

While she was pregnant, Maya expressed her joy over baby Mason and said that she couldn’t wait to be a mom of three. The Selling Sunset star even joked that some people thought she and her husband were crazy for having a third child so close to the birth of her second.

Since her announcement, many fans have come out in support of Maya Vander, expressing their sadness and support after her pregnancy loss. One fan wrote on Twitter, saying, “My heart is breaking for Maya Vander, what an awful, awful thing to go through. Can’t believe what it must cost to have to go through this in the public eye either, what a brave lady. Sending love and healing prayers to her and her family. Sleep peacefully, Baby Mason.”

The reality TV star has previously opened up about her past experiences with pregnancy loss. During her time on Selling Sunset, she told fans that she had suffered two miscarriages before getting pregnant with her oldest son Aiden.

Sharelle Rosado, who stars on the Selling Sunset spinoff Selling Tampa, posted her condolences to Maya and her family. She said, “Omg NOO so sorry for your loss. I know words can’t help right now with what you are going through. You and your family will be in my prayers at this tough time.”

Family is very important to Maya, according to the star’s Instagram page. She regularly shares adorable posts of her two children and they have even made appearances on episodes of Selling Sunset. Maya told fans that apparently having a baby on set is very expensive, so her kids don’t show up that often.

She said, “Apparently, it’s expensive to film a baby in production. They have to hire nurses. The baby can only be on up to 30 minutes. It’s a whole thing.”

The only aspect of her family that she hasn’t shared with fans is her husband’s name. According to the reality TV star, her husband works in finance, and having him on the show could damage his career. She did say that they both work from home a lot, so they are able to spend time with their children.
