Meghan Trainor posted adorable pictures of her 6-month-old son on Instagram, giving herself the title of “professional baby photographer.” The brand new photos popped up on Meghan’s Instagram account Thursday, showing fans how big (and cute) baby Riley has become.
The first picture showed the 6-month-old baby in a heart-shaped container wearing a white knit hat. The hat was adorned with charming ears, making her baby look like a tiny animal. He was staring up at something off-camera, showing fans his big brown eyes.
“He’s gonna kill me when he’s a teenager” the “All About That Bass” singer joked in the caption. “But COME ONNNN.”
Fans were quick to echo Meghan Trainor’s sentiment. The Kaplan Twins told the 27-year-old singer that her son was “so cute!” followed by a set of heart-eyes emojis. And Matthew Koma’s comment said it all: “Oh. My. God.”
Meghan Trainor posted six photos of her beautiful baby boy, including one with Riley on his back in the cutest grey onesie. He’s wearing the biggest (toothless) smile and fans can’t get enough.
“I’m unwell,” Remi Jo commented underneath the post. Mandy Moore, who has her own adorable kid to show off on Instagram, wrote to Meghan saying, “Stop it!!!!!” followed by five shiny hearts.
The last few photos showed Meghan’s baby stuffed inside a basket, which might be why Meghan Trainor said her son would kill her when he’s older. It may be cute now but there will certainly be a stage where the pictures are nothing but embarrassing. Until then, baby Riley can’t say no!
Meghan Trainer shares her gorgeous baby with her husband Daryl Sabara. Together they have plenty of “new parents” stories to share.
Last month, Meghan and Daryl introduced Riley to the world on the Today show, marking his first official TV appearance. The parents told co-host, Hoda Kotb, all about their parenting lifestyle, which contains quite a few ups, downs, and funny moments.
According to the new mom, Meghan Trainor “really struggled to make milk,” and ended up breastfeeding for the bottle method. She assured the audience that it was a well-informed decision. She “did a lot of research before of like why is breastfeeding so hard. Especially with a [Cesarean] section, my body wasn’t like, ‘Alright, time to make milk.’”
She claimed that she “was pumping as soon as I got to my room after the C-section. I really struggled making milk. So finally, I was like, ‘I’m done!'” Meghan said that she “never felt guilty” about the decision but claimed her baby is perfectly healthy with his bottles.
On a sweeter note, Meghan told fans that baby Riley is the “smiliest, happiest baby,” who “lights up” whenever she enters the room. She said that when she sees him he has “the biggest smile.” She admitted that “nobody told me he’s gonna love you so much and light up when you walk in a room. You’re like, ‘Oh my goodness. We’re his everything.”
Meghan Trainor has a lot to be thankful for. Riley was a breech baby and had “breathing issues” after he was delivered. The mother’s worst nightmare was a terrifying experience but Meghan said that the baby is healthy now. At the time, however, she was scared.
“It was one of those horror stories where he didn’t cry,” Meghan explained. “He didn’t make noise when he came out. I was like, ‘Why isn’t he crying?’”
Doctors calmed Meghan and told her that her baby was having breathing issues. He was rushed to neonatal intensive care and was forced to eat through a feeding tube. The singer told reporters that she only got to see her baby for a second before he was taken away but admitted that now “we’re so lucky we got to bring him home after five days.”
Fans are glad, too. As long as the adorable pictures keep coming!
