Fans everywhere are wondering who is going to be the next Bachelor in 2022. With Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette over, ABC has plenty of leading men to choose from. Here are some of our predictions.
Typically, the network picks men who were in the final four during The Bachelorette seasons, but they’ve been known to switch it up. With the recent controversy over Chris Harrison, anyone is fair game in Bachelor Nation.
Justin is one of the fan favorites from Katie’s season of The Bachelorette, and fans want to see him on their television screens in any way possible. Our hearts broke when Katie dumped him for Blake Moynes, but he took their breakup like a gentleman, which warmed the hearts of many Bachelor Nation fans.
He told Katie, “I think the world of you. Everything that I’ve said to you is 100 percent true. I just hope you know how special you are and what you bring to the table. I hope he knows what he has in you and he doesn’t take you for granted.” His big heart is the main reason why he would be a great pick for the next Bachelor in 2022.
Despite being eliminated before the hometown dates, fans are screaming for Andrew to become the next Bachelor. One fan wrote on Twitter, “Bachelor Nation waiting to sign the petition for Andrew S to be the next Bachelor.” Fans were hooked after an emotional scene between Andrew and Katie. After his elimination, Katie reconsidered her decision and invited him back for one of her final roses. Andrew declined.
Despite some past controversial social media posts by Andrew, fans everywhere are ready to give him a second chance and welcome him back as the next Bachelor. Is he ready to show everyone that he’s an amazing guy?
Michael has the support of many former Bachelorettes when it comes to being the next Bachelor for 2022. Katie gave her support saying, “My two votes are going to be Andrew and Michael for the next Bachelor,” she said to Us Weekly. “I think they just both have a lot to offer and I think they are in a place where they are ready to really settle down and they’ve really grown a lot as men.”
Tayshia, from Season 16, and Kaitlyn, from Season 11, echoed Katie’s sentiments, saying that both Michael and Andrew are lovable men and that they’d be excited to watch them find love. Michael decided to leave the show to be with his 4-year-old son. Hopefully, he’ll get his own season and find someone who loves his son as much as he does.
Greg is one of the most controversial picks for the next Bachelor, and many fans are on the fence about whether or not they want to see him again. Fans have accused him of gaslighting while on Katie’s season and his breakup with her was not pretty.
Bekah Martinez, an alum from Season 22 of The Bachelor, posted “I know he opened up to her and she said ‘the wrong thing’ but shutting down emotionally being like, ‘wut, nothing’s wrong why would you think that’ and then punishing with silence is emotional manipulation 101.”
Many fans believe that Mike should have been the first black Bachelor instead of Matt James. Eliminated during Season 15 by Hannah Brown, Mike was almost the next Bachelor for Season 24. But he was passed over for another pick.
If Bachelor Nation wants an out-of-the-box Bachelor for 2022 then they have to look no further. Mike is their man. He told Variety in 2020, “I’m like no other Bachelor in the past. I’m not white, I have tattoos, I’m a veteran of the Air Force and I speak my mind.” He even has the support of fellow contestant Michael A!
