As Joe Burrow and Matthew Stafford step on the field for Super Bowl 2022, their biggest supporters will be right there, cheering them on. Burrow’s girlfriend, Olivia Holzmacher, and Stafford’s wife, Kelly Hall, have been the quarterbacks’ biggest fans this year. Here’s everything you need to know about the gorgeous women standing by their guys’ sides.
Joe Burrow and Olivia Holzmacher met in college while attending Ohio State University. Friends describe their relationship as laidback. “They were always very low-key,” a source told Us Weekly while talking about their college relationship. “It’s not surprising they are still together.”
In 2018, Joe Burrow went on to play for Louisiana State University after losing the Columbus quarterback position to Dwayne Haskins. He went on to win a national championship with the team and was awarded the Heisman Trophy in 2019. He was later selected first by the Bengals during the 2020 NFL Draft.
Through all of the changes, Olivia Holzmacher supported the QB and was in the stands for many of his games, regardless of the distance from her native Ohio. Joe Burrow’s girlfriend is known for her Bengals’ celebrations and is always posting about her amazing boyfriend on Instagram.
After he was picked during the 2020 NFL Draft, she said, “Tonight a new chapter starts for you! Thankful to be by your side joe and to be a part of the past three seasons. I’ve had the best experiences and met the best people along the way. So excited for what the future holds. Tonight, will be once in a lifetime night for you.”
Olivia Holzmacher graduated from Ohio State University in 2019 with a degree in Data-Analytics and Social Sciences. When she’s not out supporting her boyfriend, Olivia works for Kroger as a senior process specialist & analyst. The retail company runs a chain of grocery stores in Ohio.
But no matter what she does – or where she is – Olivia is always thinking about the Bengals. She even has a good luck charm for them: a drink koozie with Joe’s face on it!
Like Olivia and Joe, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and wife Kelly Hall met in college. The college sweethearts now share four kids together, and Kelly recently posted an adorable picture of them in Rams outfits for the upcoming game.
The mother of four regularly dresses her girls in Rams outfits, and the family is always at the games supporting Matthew Stafford. Kelly recently went viral when she ran onto the field to give her husband a hug after the game.
While Kelly and Matthew seem to have it all, they’ve been on an emotional roller coaster the last few years. Kelly has opened up about her battle with a brain tumor.
The young mother wrote an essay for ESPN in 2019 and discussed her terrifying health scare. She first discovered the brain tumor after becoming dizzy while walking out of a massage parlor. She didn’t think it was a big deal, but Matthew convinced her to see a doctor. An MRI found a brain tumor on her cranial nerve.
In April 2019, Kelly had brain surgery to remove her tumor and shared her fears on Instagram. She said, “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t completely terrified of brain surgery. I am. I am terrified of them opening my head, I’m terrified of losing my hearing, I’m terrified of losing facial function, I’m terrified of far worse things that could happen and I’m terrified that I won’t take the time I need to recover because the guilt I might feel of being absent from my kids for too long… I am telling y’all this to ask for prayers and support.”
After the surgery, Kelly revealed that Matthew never left her side and helped her care for the kids while she was recovering.
“I’m just so f—king happy for him,” Kelly Hall said recently. “He’s put so much work into this, not only this year but his entire life. So that moment is one I’ll never forget.”
