Paige Spiranac is no stranger to hateful comments. The former professional golfer turned podcaster and sports media personality is regularly called a stripper and a porn star, but she doesn’t let the haters get her down.

In a recent Instagram post she fought back against the haters and posted a sexy photo of herself in a green jacket, similar to the jackets given to golfers who win The Masters tournament. She captioned the photo and said, “‘No one will ever take you seriously if you keep posting pictures with cleavage,’ So here’s to continuing doing what I want.”

Paige Spiranac started playing golf at San Diego State and quickly rose to fame. She competed in the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters in December 2015 and 2016 before retiring after failing to qualify for a card to play on the professional LPGA circuit.

Her invitations to the Dubai Ladies Masters were big news in the golf world and she became known as a minor celebrity because of her ability to play there.

The 28-year-old said that since she started playing golf, many people thought she used her looks and cleavage to get ahead. In an interview with The Guardian in 2018, Spiranac said, “That’s unfair to me and unfair to all of my accomplishments,” she told the outlet. “I probably do more community service than any other professional golfer. For people to say, ‘You only show some cleavage, that’s why you have what you have,’ is unfair. That’s the injustice that we face every day as women, and I see it a lot in golf.”

Spiranac regularly opens up about the hypocrisy in the golf world on her podcast, Playing a Round. She tells her fans that golf is very conservative, and she felt like an outsider because of how she looked and dressed.

She said, “I have just always kind of dressed more on the provocative side and it’s just, again kind of part of who I am and I’m very comfortable with that, and I think a lot of people were upset by that, especially in golf, cause it is so conservative, and if you don’t even wear a collar it’s like, ‘she’s a stripper, she’s doing porn,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m wearing a f–king turtleneck.'”

According to the golfer, when she used to compete in the AJGA [American Junior Golf Association], she would get in trouble for her skirts being too short.

Even outside the golf world, Paige Spiranac continues to get nasty comments on her Instagram. Last year, someone commented and said that if Paige was going to play golf dressed like that then it should be posted on Pornhub. Another commenter called her a w**re.

The golfer recently offered to help a children’s charity and was rejected because of her looks and reputation. According to Paige, the organizer said some of their members had a problem with her being there.

She said, “I wanted to help this charity out and I wanted to give them free golf clubs,” she said. “The guy wrote back and said, ‘We would love to but, because of the way our board members view you, you can’t help out.’ I want to give back to these kids who don’t have anything, because I grew up not having anything, and I can’t even f–king do that because of my cleavage.”

She added, “We bond over having a common interest and we all love the same thing … I don’t understand why it matters if you’re wearing a polo (shirt) and I’m not wearing a polo. If a guy on tour wears shorts instead of pants, the world’s not going to end. In golf, people make all of these problems so serious and it’s not serious.”

Despite the hateful comments, Paige Spiranac has learned how to embrace her sexy side and doesn’t care what people say about her. She loves golf and wants to show that to the world. In 2018, she was photographed for the cover of Sports Illustrated and the SI swimsuit pictures are pretty sexy.

According to the golfer, she couldn’t believe that she got to be on the cover and continues to dress the way that she wants. In a recent podcast episode she said, “I don’t mind being sexy. I love my body. It’s part of who I am.”
