Former model Paulina Porizkova is opening up about her past relationship with playwright Aaron Sorkin and how he helped her heal. In a candid Instagram post, Paulina showed her fans the true side of heartbreak.

The pair had been dating since last April after they were introduced by a mutual friend, the journalist Ashleigh Banfield. Their relationship seemed deep and passionate. On their first date, Paulina flew out to Los Angeles to see Aaron. Their second date was to the 2021 Oscars – talk about serious!

The red-carpet event was their first public appearance as a couple. While Paulina was worried about how they would be received, the cute pair seemed to be well-liked by both fans and fellow celebrities.

Following the Oscars, Paulina posted a cute photo of the pair on her Instagram with a caption saying: “He kept me warm all night.”

According to the model, the pair broke up because they had too many differences. In a social media post, Paulina said that “it doesn’t matter how much we may wish we were birds of a feather – we’re still a duck and a goose.”

Recently, Paulina has opened up to fans about how she is dealing with her hurt. Despite the pain that she feels, she still has some nice things to say about Aaron Sorkin and their relationship.

“I’m so grateful for his presence in my life. He helped heal me and reclaim myself. There truly may be no better man, no man who’s more genuinely ‘good.’ He’s brilliant and witty and funny and sexy,” said Paulina Porizkova on her Instagram.

Paulina hadn’t said a lot about the end of her relationship with Aaron. She said that most of it involved “another person’s privacy,” but in a recent Instagram post, she got more comfortable sharing her feelings with fans.

In a candid, no-makeup selfie, Paulina showed her fans how the end of her relationship was affecting her. She wrote, “I know you all enjoy happy posts, seeing people pick themselves up, dust off their pants, and get back on the horse, all while smiling to let you know this fall just made them stronger and better people. But. Everyday is not a happy day in the path of recovery.

Paulina continued the caption, writing: “when you’ve been betrayed – promised something, only to have that promise broken without your participation – you were blindsided,” she wrote. “You trusted someone you loved, and now all love is suspect.”

Commenters praised the model for showing her vulnerability and tears. Fellow model Alina Baikova wrote, “Stay strong Paulina ❤️ . Never give up on love! Also no explanation no disappointments 🤷🏼‍♀️. Let it be … those who keep promises- appreciate them, those who don’t – watch out for them, can be it’s not in their power to.”

Many fans are trying to figure out who is the cause of Paulina’s tears. Some say Aaron Sorkin is to blame, while others can’t help but mention Paulina’s former husband, Ric Ocasek.

Paulina was married to Ric Ocasek, former lead singer for Cars, from 1989 until 2017 when they announced that they had split up. The pair met when Paulina was 19 and they married a couple of years later when she was 24 and Ric was 45. Together they had two children, Jonathan, 27, and Oliver, 23.

Two years after their breakup, Ric was found dead in his Manhattan townhouse and Paulina’s life came crashing down. She found out that Ric had cut her out of his will, and she received nothing following his death. Paulina has told the media that she regrets not signing a prenup with her late husband and because of that decision she had to rely on her friends to buy her groceries for over a year following Ric’s passing.
