Shanna Moakler, Travis Barker’s ex-wife, is defending herself against family allegations that she’s a bad mother. The drama, which truly feels like it’s been going on since 2006, was sparked by a Mother’s Day post that Shanna’s boyfriend, Matthew Rondeau, posted for her.

Moakler’s daughter reacted on Instagram in fury. “My mom has never completely been in my life. Can you guys stop painting her out to be an amazing mom?” Alabama Barker, 15, wrote. “Did your moms ask to see you on Mother’s Day [because] mine didn’t? I’m done keeping it a secret, reality shows.”

Landon Barker, 17, didn’t hold back either when calling out his mother’s bad parenting. Landon was candid on Tiktok, sharing that Shanna “isn’t in [their] lives like” their dad, Travis Barker.

These accusations come just three years after Moakler and Barker fought a custody battle, ending in 2018 with co-parenting rights. The couple had originally agreed to joint custody after their 2008 divorce, but in 2014 Travis Barker spoke up about his ex-wife’s parenting style.

According to court papers that US Weekly acquired from the battle, Travis Barker said, “I believe that it is important to our children to see their parents engaged in their activities and supporting them. I do not believe that Shanna shares this viewpoint with me as she told me when we were still together that she was raised by nannies and intended our children to be so raised as well.”

The custody battle occurred mostly behind closed doors, and now that Moakler has legal co-parting rights, she has responded to her kid’s claims calling them “completely rediculous [sic]”.

While their kids come to Travis’ defense, Moakler accuses her ex-husband of cheating on her during their marriage with Kim Kardashian, the sister of his current girlfriend. A representative of Kim said that this is not true, and Kim was only ever good friends with Travis, having been the one to introduce him to Kourtney in the first place.

As Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian get serious, Moakler’s opinion on the relationship has been varied. “I think it would be nice to know the person who’s going to be spending a lot of time with my kids. I have no problem … just introducing myself and letting her know that I have no ill-will. But I don’t see her and I going to the spa any time soon,” Moakler originally said, claiming, “If they’re happy, I’m happy for them.”

The model’s take on the relationship took a turn when she saw Travis getting his tattoo of her name covered up. She called her ex’s relationship “weird,” openly insulting him on a latform where her children could see.

“To my new-found haters, to clarify since everyone seems to know my personal life, my ex put a skull tattoo over our initials on his hand while his new girl lovingly looked on,” Moakler said on social media, referencing Kourtney. “That was done with purpose and intent along with posts to try to insult me and my happiness with my new man [Matthew]. Once again weird!”

Shanna Moakler went straight to the tattoo salon to remove her own tattoo of Travis’ name. “Don’t tattoo names on your body, kids,” she wrote on Instagram, sparing her children one rare piece of advice.

In screenshots that Alabama shared, her mother complains about Travis’s parenting style, claiming “Travis controls Bamas social media… however I get blamed for her sexualization! How does a father allow her to act like that and do lives at 4 am? With Men twice her age.. I’ve been legally bullied out… I’m fed up and I’m Exhausted.”

For now, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker continue to get close. It’s unclear if Shanna and Travis’ custody agreement will be adjusted.
