Sharon Stone is asking her fans for prayers after taking her 11-month-old nephew to the hospital with “total organ failure.” Sharing a photo of the child hooked up to a number of medical devices on Instagram, the 63-year-old actress wrote that her nephew River Stone was found unresponsive in his crib today.

“Please pray for him,” she said. “We need a miracle.”

Celebrities have been sending Sharon Stone their hopes and prayers, wishing for the child’s safe recovery.

“Holding you and your family in prayer,” director Ava DuVernay commented. Actress Kate Hudson said that she was “sending light and healing love.”

“Bless him,” Reality television personality Sharon Osbourne wrote. “Sending so much love and prayer.”

Born in September 2020, River William Stone is the son of Sharon Stone’s younger brother Patrick and his wife Tasha. The Basic Instinct actress announced his birth at the time, later sharing a cute photo of the baby in January.

Sharon, who is currently in Venice, Italy, according to photos posted on her Instagram page, is sadly unable to be by her nephew’s side at this time. It is unknown whether or not she will be traveling to the hospital.

Sharon Stone has three kids of her own. She has Roan, 21, Laird, 16, and Quinn, 15. She previously said during a speech at the Marie Claire Power Trip event that raising them all as a single parent took, “work and time and years and effort.”

“Motherhood didn’t come easily, but it came lovingly to me by angels,” Stone added. “We’re a happy and lucky family. That is the credo we stand for. We have a choice about what we teach our children. We have to stand tall and say yes to love.”

Sharon Stone’s family had been particularly hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, sharing last August that she had lost her mom, her grandmother, and her godmother, while her sister and her sister’s husband were battling the virus in the hospital.

“They keep saying that risks are so small and that you might not die, and that it’ll be fine,” the actress said in a video message, “but I’m telling you what’s going on with my family… this is the state that we’re in.”

Sharon later shared a horrific video of her sister Kelly gasping for breath in the hospital, fighting for her life against Covid-19. Kelly and her husband miraculously pulled through since and the couple is reported to be feeling much better.

Working on a new film, Sharon Stone made headlines recently for demanding that the film industry make vaccine mandates mandatory. “I’ve been offered a job, a good job, a job I really want to do in Atlanta,” she said. “That’s why my hair is standing on end… because the Producers Guild of America will not guarantee that everyone on our show is vaccinated before I go to work.”

“Will I go to work before everyone on my show is vaccinated? No. No, I won’t,” she continued. “Am I being threatened that I will lose my job? Yes. Yes, I am. Will I lose my job if everyone is not vaccinated on my show? Yes. Yes, I could. Will I stand up for all of us so that every set that we go on is vaccinated? Yes. Yes, I will. Why? Because that’s ridiculous, that we should have to go to work where we are not safe to work.”

After what happened to Sharon’s family during the pandemic, it’s quite understandable why the actress would want to make sure that everyone on set had been vaccinated.

Her nephew River is reportedly still in the hospital and no further updates have been provided at this time.
