Stephanie Grisham, former press secretary for the Trump White House, has published a new book, which is a tell-all about Donald Trump and his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The former president has since come out and expressed his anger over the book.
Her book, I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw at the Trump White House, is set to be published next week and soon everyone will know the inside dirt on the Trump presidency. But if you can’t wait that long don’t worry. Excerpts from the book have already been leaked.
Grisham was the press secretary for Trump during his presidency and later quit after the Jan. 6 Capitol riots. In her memoir she gives readers an inside look at a President with a major temper and a White House that was allegedly built on lies.
She writes, “When I began to see how his temper wasn’t just for shock value or the cameras, I began to regret my decision to go to the West Wing.”
The book’s main focus was on Donald Trump‘s relationship with Vladimir Putin and their visit together back in 2019. According to Grisham, while the two presidents were meeting in Japan for the G20 Summit, the Russian president had hired a sexy interpreter to distract Trump.
“As the meeting began, Fiona Hill leaned over and asked me if I had noticed Putin’s translator, who was a very attractive brunette woman with long hair, a pretty face, and a wonderful figure,” Grisham wrote. “She proceeded to tell me that she suspected the woman had been selected by Putin specifically to distract our president,” Grisham said.
Coverage of the G20 Summit showed an interpreter that looked like Grisham’s description.
In her book, Grisham explained the complicated relationship between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. She said that Trump once told Putin that he was going to use a tough voice with him during a meeting for the cameras. The former president said that once the cameras left they could talk normally.
The book also focused on the Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner. According to Grisham and the pages that were leaked to The Washington Post, Ivanka and Jared saw themselves as American royalty and spent a lot of time trying to insert themselves into important government business. Through Trump, both his daughter and son-in-law were able to become White House advisors and be influential on policies during his presidency.
At one point, they tried to tag along on a meeting with Queen Elizabeth II, something that would have gone against the rules, but weren’t allowed to go because there wasn’t enough room in the helicopter.
Grisham said that Melania Trump and other members of the White House staff used to call Ivanka “the princess,” and that in meetings she would refer to Trump as “my father.”
While Stephanie Grisham’s book hasn’t been published yet, it has already received a lot of attention, mainly from the man himself, Donald Trump. The former president has criticized the book and said his former press secretary is just writing the tell-all memoir because she is hurt over their “breakup.”
He issued a statement after the announcement of the book and said, “Stephanie didn’t have what it takes and that was obvious from the beginning. She became very angry and bitter after her break up and as time went on she was seldom relied upon, or even thought about. She had big problems and we felt that she should work out those problems for herself. Now, like everyone else, she gets paid by a radical left-leaning publisher to say bad and untrue things.”
