Tyga voluntarily turned himself in to the LAPD on Tuesday after his ex-girlfriend Camaryn Swanson shared photos online claiming that the rapper assaulted her. Arrested for the alleged domestic abuse, his bail was set at $50,000.

Hounded by TMZ on his way to the police station, he refused to answer any questions but was reportedly planning on sitting with the cops to share “his side of the story.”

The LAPD told ABC News that “no one expected him to walk in.” The rapper is expected to post bail immediately after.

According to TMZ, ex-girlfriend Camaryn Swanson arrived at Tyga’s home around 3 a.m. despite him claiming that he told her not to come. Camaryn claims, reversely, that she has text messages from Tyga telling her to come over, and that he sent a car to pick her up. Either way, she started screaming loudly outside his front door when she arrived.

Family inside believed that Camaryn might have been intoxicated, but Tyga let her inside so that he could talk to her and the yelling might have stopped. It is unclear what occurred between the two to kick off the argument.

Continuing inside, Camaryn Swanson claimed Tyga put his hands on her, according to the LAPD. Her mother later arrived to pick her up, and she reported the incident to the police.

Officers tried to talk to Tyga at his home address Monday morning, but he refused at the time. Now, he’s turned himself in as charges may be pressed.

LAPD authorities later filed a domestic violence report, claiming “visible marks” being seen on Camaryn. She later posted videos and photos of her face after the altercation, showing a massive bruise over her eye, as well as dried blood marks on her sweatshirt.

“I’ve been emotionally, mentally, and physically abused and I’m not hiding it anymore” she wrote on Instagram. “I didn’t show up ‘screaming’ or uninvited, when I tried to leave, he physically assaulted and refused to let me leave for hours.”

“I’m so embarrassed and ashamed it had to get to this, but I have to stand up for myself,” Camaryn revealed.

The two became romantically involved back in February, when he met Camaryn Swanson, 22, a fashion designer and co-owner of Meaning of Mine.

Previously, Tyga had been in various relationships with Kylie Jenner, Blac Chyna (whom he had a son with), Iggy Azalea, and TikTok influencer Bella Poarch. According to Forbes, he was one of OnlyFans’ top earners in August, and is thinking of making his own platform.

The rapper just recently made an appearance on the hit Fox singing competition show The Masked Singer, where he was revealed as one of the “masked” contestants.

Back in 2019, there was a warrant for Tyga’s arrest after he failed to show up to court for a case involving a fan who was injured at one of his shows. Not only did he not appear, but his company had not paid the settlement due to the injured fan. According to the plaintiff, a light stand fell on her head at one of his shows, which left a four-inch gash. She was awarded around $250,000 by the judge, which was not paid.

“Due to a last minute work obligation, Tyga was traveling and was forced to miss his debtor’s exam,” a representative later told the court. It was never reported whether or not Tyga eventually paid the fan, but it was detailed that his Maybach SUV was repossessed valued at around $2.2 million.

At the time, he was thrown out of Floyd Mayweather’s 42nd birthday party for getting into a fight over the vehicle and trying to grab a security guard’s gun.

Tyga has not yet commented on the domestic assault incident.
