Julia Hennessy Cayuela, a famous social media influencer, died during a motorbike road trip that she took with her husband, Daniel Cayuela. The 22-year-old Instagram model, known for her stunning pictures and adventurous attitude, was killed in a tragic crash on July 15 in Sao Jose dos Pinhais outside of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The social media star, who has over 332,000 follows, was spending time with her husband in Brazil when she was part of a terrible crash. After the July 15 incident, Julia Hennessy Cayuela was airlifted to a Parana hospital in critical condition before having a heart attack on arrival. She was pronounced dead in the Hospital Universitario Cajuru. after succumbing to her extensive injuries.

The Instagram star’s husband, Daniel Cayuela, was also injured in the horrific crash. Cayuela is also an impressive Instagram influencer with more than 110,000 followers. The extent of his injuries is unknown, though reports claim he underwent shoulder surgery after the accident and remains in intensive care at the same medical facility that his wife was taken to, the Hospital Universitario Cajuru.

The tragic crash that took the life of Julia Hennessy Cayuela occurred eerily close to a recent photo posted to Cayuela’s Instagram account. In it, the influencer of seven years posed with her husband in their biker outfits, hanging off of a large sign in Capao Bonito, Brazil. A second picture saw the two staring into each other’s eyes through their biker helmets.

Julia Hennessy Cayuela captioned her romantic Instagram post, saying “Life is short, let’s be crazy – me, you, and god and the road. Your dreams are mine.” The haunting post has garnered attention, especially since it was posted on the same day the two tragically crashed.

The romantic road trip-turned tragedy reportedly occurred when a truck was crossing the BR-277 road in Sao Jose dos Pinhais. The Federal Highway Police of Parana and Ecovia said the couple T-boned the side of the truck as it was crossing.

According to local media outlets, Daniel Cayuela has not been told that his wife passed away. Cayuela’s family reportedly gave specific instructions to the hospital “to inform him only that he is hospitalized for the necessary treatment.”

Julia Hennessy Cayuela and her husband were married for four years and were known to go on cross-country motorcycle trips together, posting about them on their respective social media accounts. According to her Instagram bio, she was studying to be a biomedical esthetician, who performs non-invasive skincare procedures for medical or cosmetic reasons. This includes chemical peels and laser hair removal and is often practiced in a spa or clinical setting alongside a medical professional.

Though her dreams have come to a tragic end, hundreds of thousands of fans were inspired by her adventurous nature and love of Daniel Cayuela. Many commented on the haunting post after they learned about her death.

According to reports, Julia Hennessy Cayuela suffered the same fate as her father, who died in a motorcycle accident when she was 3 years old. The social media influencer referenced her father’s death many times on Instagram, including a Father’s Day post each year.

The investigation into the social media star’s death is ongoing, and police are still trying to understand what happened to her and her husband during their road trip. One of the brunette beauty’s followers claimed that the Instagram star thought she was going to die during the trip, after pointing out in a comment that she referenced the dangerous nature of motorcycling over Brazil’s highways.

“From the phrase she put in that photo, it looked like she knew she was going to pass away,” the follower wrote. “In videos, Julia even stated that the roads along which the couple took the trip were quite winding and that she got nauseated because of the curves in the path. In some moments of the recordings, it is possible to see that there was a lot of fog on the way.”
