Ca’Shawn Ashley Sims, who goes by Cookie, reportedly has mental health issues because of the Covid-19 pandemic and her family is asking the public to help them understand what happened to their loved one.

When Sims disappeared, she apparently left her home, dog and phone behind, which family says is very unlike her. While the 30-year-old enjoys being alone, those close to her believe that if she was OK she would have reached out by now. It’s been too long. Her sister posted on her Instagram Tuesday and said,

“I never thought there’d come a day of me posting a missing flyer for my sister. We want her covered in prayers, God’s grace and to know that she is whole, well and alive,” Ca’rynn Sims wrote.

According to an update on this post, authorities were able to find reports that Sims was in Pasadena, Calif., on Sept. 9 and Sept. 12. She reportedly went to a hospital and was complaining of shortness of breath. She was released after receiving care.

Her family told police about a series of tattoos that Sims has, which they hope will help when locating her. Sims has three tattoos; one on her left collarbone which says “It’s found in the soul,” another on her left arm that says “Earth,” and then a phrase in Spanish on her back.

She is just under 5 feet tall and weighs 120 pounds.

Authorities hope that these tattoos and other pictures of the young woman will help the public know what to look for when searching for her. While some of her Instagram photos show her having green hair, according to her family, Ca’Shawn Ashley Sims was last seen having long black hair.

Her other sister, Chris’tol Sims, said the two sisters had recently started living apart from one another, but the sisters still keep in touch often. She is pleading with the public to help find her.

“As we’ve recently started living in separate places, I do not have day-to-day access to her,” she shared. “I’m trying to make sure she’s okay, and will exhaust every option.”

The 30-year-old gathered quite a following on her Instagram with fitness-inspired posts. Her personal Instagram boasts over 12.6K followers, while her workout account has over 216K. She calls herself The Booty Doctor and has a line of fitness tools, which help people enhance their booty muscles for a larger and more toned backside.

She also has a YouTube channel and runs a series of fitness programs for clients. Before she disappeared, the young woman was working on developing her own line of cosmetics. She had already developed her own line of athletic clothing earlier in the year. According to followers on her personal account, the influencer hasn’t posted since July 1.

The LAPD said, “Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Persons Unit at (323) 890-5500. If you prefer to provide information anonymously, you may call “Crime Stoppers” by dialing (800) 222-TIPS (8477).”
